Here is an excellent precision scale for Pro-ject phonorecorders. We all know, or should know, that, on an analogue set-up, setting the correct reading weight is absolutely essential for best results and to avoid any damage to vinyl records. Unfortunately, the counterweight on the turntable arm does not allow for fine adjustment of the read weight. Excessive loading compared to the cartridge manufacturer's recommendations produces a muddled sound and no energy; a lower weight results in tracking difficulties and a light, anaemic sound.

The MEASURE-IT 2 is an electronic scale that instantly weighs and displays the reading weight of your analogue set-up in thousandths of a gram on the display, with an accuracy within 2 thousandths of a gram. This is one of the cases where digital comes to the aid of getting the best performance from an analogue reading system. The scale plate is non-magnetic and is therefore suitable for use with all cartridges, including low-output MC-type cartridges.

The MEASURE-IT 2 is not only very accurate, but also very easy to use; there are no false readings and furthermore, each weighing can be repeated with the same results, even if the stylus is placed in a slightly different spot on the scale pan.

The display of the MEASURE-IT 2 shows 0.001 to 5.000 grams on a large, backlit LCD display for easy reading.
