The Shibata VM750SH stylus cartridge is a top-of-the-line 700-series model in Audio-Technica's new VM line of cartridges, a line that harkens back to A-T's early days as a primarily high-end phono cartridge manufacturer while also incorporating today's advanced technology. Like all VM cartridges, the VM750SH features dual magnets positioned to match the left and right channels in the stereo recording groove for exceptional channel separation and extended frequency response. The Shibata stylus of the provides a greater contact surface with the record groove than an elliptical stylus, resulting in ultra-high frequencies being picked up with less stress and distortion.
