A self-adhesive, soft and lightweight thermo-acoustic material based on elastic foam rubber (synthetic rubber) with a combination of closed cells of various shapes and sizes. This design combines seemingly contradictory properties. Namely, it effectively absorbs and reduces noise (which is usually a characteristic of materials with open polyurethane water-absorbing cells) and at the same time provides a very high level of acoustic and thermal insulation, maintains full resistance to moisture and repels water. Thanks to these properties, CTK Elastic is one of the most efficient materials on the market for thermal and acoustic insulation of car bodies and industrial equipment (cars, air conditioners, machinery, etc.). Self-adhesive mats based on flexible foam rubber can be easily installed on flat or uneven surfaces (avoid sharply curved edges, 'silicone' plastics and rough surfaces). In cars, they are mainly intended for interior use as effective thermal insulators that prevent excessive heating or cooling of the passenger compartment and, above all, as very effective sound barriers, protecting the car interior from external noise (wheels, engine, etc.). Thanks to its oil- and water-resistant properties, this material can be bonded to metal parts inside or outside the car, e.g. on the floor, roof, inner and outer wheel arches and inside the boot. The special structure, high elasticity and resistance to moisture also make CTK Elastic effective under the car floor as a material that dampens and blocks road noise. For the best effect, we recommend using this product together with self-adhesive aluminium-butyl mats, which are used to dampen vibrations and resonances (CTK Elastic thermo acoustic foam should be applied as a second layer to the body elements, with aluminium anti-vibration material as the first layer). The product is not recommended for insulating door panels or surfaces made of plastic cladding elements or similar.
