SUPRA AC Sensor
System set-up instrument | Measurement of radiated alternating current magnetic fields
TESTO DA INSERIRE
Instrument indicating manetic field radiation in alternating current
Very useful for determining whether cables, sockets, fuses, multisockets or electronics radiate electromgnetic disturbances harmful to the fidelity of our system.
Have you ever wondered where the (hot) phase connector is in the wall socket? Or by all means, where in the wall the electrical cable runs? Our pen-like AC sensor picks up alternating electric fields that differ from the neutral (yourself) and signals with a flashing red tip and a sound.
Use this sensor to determine the phase position from the wall socket to most electrical devices. There are good reasons to connect all devices in the same phase, preferably the phase that causes the least parasitic capacitance. This lowers the disturbance current due to the divergent signal minus potentials, contributes to a much lower noise floor and improves system dynamics and detail.
Use this sensor to monitor the alternating electric field from each power cable. Once you understand how big the difference is between the fields around audio/video devices, you will open a door to a new world of sharp images and sound.
E.g.: By pointing the instrument close to a power cable, we can determine whether the power cable, which is probably close to other signal cables, creates magnetic fields, i.e. interference and noise.
