Power conditioner with 12 schuko sockets, 4 of which are high-current and 8 filtered with noise-dissipation system
The Niagara 5000 features our patented AC Ground Noise-Dissipation System, the industry's widest bandwidth linearisation AC filter, and our exclusive passive transient correction circuitry. Equipped with an instantaneous current tank of over 90 amps peak, the Niagara 5000 is specifically designed for today's current-starved power amplifiers. Many AC power products are equipped with 'high current sockets' the Niagara 5000 corrects this.
In the Niagara 5000 you will find optimised radio-frequency conductor directionality, run-in moulding technologies developed by Jet Propulsion Laboratories and NASA, and AC input and output contacts with solid silver plating on extremely pure copper, ensuring the tightest possible grip.
Hear the first results of highly optimised power management: incredibly deep silences, extraordinary dynamic freedom, exceptional retrieval of ambient stimuli, and beautiful delineation of instruments and musicians in space. Once experienced, it can seem so elegant, so logical and so obvious.
FEATURES
Common-mode noise dissipation: greater than 30 dB from 20 kHz to 100 MHz, linearised for dynamic (rising) line impedance with frequency (source) and load from 10 to 50 ohms, dependent on system current.
Overcurrent suppression: non-sacrificial input overvoltage test (6000 V / 3000 A, which is the maximum that can survive through a building's AC switchboard).
Extreme voltage shutdown: 140V AC (will activate the main high-current relay to open within 0.25 seconds, automatically resets once the input power is within a safe range).
High current - AC sockets (Schuko-EU): 4 sockets - power amplifiers, powered subwoofers, powered speakers.
Component Source - AC Sockets (8 outputs - analogue - digital - video): 6 isolated AC sockets with a current capacity of 16 amps RMS (@ 220-240VAC 50 / 60Hz). These sockets utilise a high spring-resistance beryllium copper base metal with heavy silver-plated contacts. This ensures much lower losses and distortion, while providing a superior means of draining radio frequency noise.
Differential filter / ultra-linear common mode: non-sacrificial surge suppressor. Over a third of low-level audio/video resolution can be masked or lost to induced radio frequency and AC noise. Niagara filters are optimised for real-world impedance and cover an unprecedented range of over 21 octaves. Non-sacrificial overvoltage protection and automatic overvoltage shutdown ensure that components are protected, and Niagara also protects itself.
Transient power correction: from powerful monoblock Class-D to mammoth Class-M power amplifiers, average (RMS) current consumption can be modest (2 to 7 amps). However, audio content with a wide dynamic range can create very fast transient current demands .... up to ten times that average. Our correction circuit reinforces and stabilises the power supply of any power amplifier by providing a buffer and reservoir of instantaneous current peaking at up to 80 amps (20 mS).
Background noise dissipation system: 6 discrete circuits isolate, drain and absorb (via lossy networks), RF-induced noise masking audio and video signals. This is critical as the AC ground is directly connected to the component's circuit ground. Used in concert with our Ultra-Linear filters and AudioQuest directionally oriented grain AC cables, this ensures the highest resolution and lowest distortion performance from system components.
