USB C (male)-A (female) adapter cable can also be used for Apple and Android OTG devices | 5% solid silver conductors
The DragonTail USB Adapter enables USB host mode on most Apple and Android devices, allowing devices to transmit USB digital audio to an external digital-to-analogue converter (DAC).
Using DragonTail to connect to an external USB DAC, such as an AudioFest DragonFly, will provide significantly improved audio performance.
FEATURES
5% solid silver conductors
Solid conductors eliminate interaction distortion between the strands and reduce jitter. Silver-plated conductors are excellent for very high frequency applications, such as audio and HDMI video. These signals, being high-frequency, travel almost exclusively on the conductor surface. Since the surface is pure silver, the performance is very similar to that of a solid silver cable, but much closer to copper cable. This is an incredibly economical way of producing HDMI cables of the highest quality.
All conductors controlled for RF noise directionality
Rigid foam insulation
Hard foam insulation (HCF) ensures a critical signal pair geometry. Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. Cable and circuit board insulation materials absorb energy. Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Rigid cell foam insulation is similar to the PE foam used in our cheaper Bridges & Falls cables, and is injected with nitrogen to create air pockets. Since nitrogen (like air) does not absorb energy and therefore does not release energy from or into the conductor, distortion is reduced. In addition, the stiffness of the material allows the cable conductors to maintain a stable relationship along the entire length of the cable, producing a stable impedance character and further reducing distortion.
Carbon-based noise and crosstalk dissipation system
The negative conductors of this cable are covered with partially conductive carbon-filled polyethylene. This remarkable material reduces the radio-frequency waste fed into the amplifier. The sonic advantage is exactly the same reduction in 'hash' and improved dimensionality that comes whenever RF interference is reduced in an audio circuit. In addition, a carbon layer dampens the interaction between positive and negative conductors, and a carbon-based external noise dissipation system reduces external interference.
