SOLID LONG-GRAIN COPPER (LGC) CONDUCTORS: solid conductors eliminate wire-to-wire distortion. Chicago's solid long-grain copper allows for a smoother and clearer sound than cables using normal OFHC (high conductivity oxygen-free) copper. OFHC is a general metal industry specification regarding 'leakage' without any concern for distortion. LGC has fewer oxides within the conducting material, fewer impurities, fewer grain boundaries and much better performance.

NITROGEN-Injected Rigid Cell Foam Insulation: Nitrogen-injected rigid cell foam insulation is used exclusively in most AudioQuest audio and video cables. Similar to Foamed-PE, it is injected with nitrogen to create air pockets. The "hard" foam is used because the stiffness of the material allows the conductors in the cable to maintain the same relationship to each other along the entire length of the cable, thus ensuring that the cable's characteristic impedance is consistent.

NOISE DISSIPATION SYSTEM (NDS): 100% shield coverage is easy. Preventing RF interference captured by the modulation of the equipment ground reference requires the QA noise dissipation system. The noise dissipation system prevents a significant amount of RFI from reaching the equipment ground plane.

DOUBLE BALANCE GEOMETRY: two ideal audio conductors separated by the cable shield. This not only prevents the shield from being used as an inferior audio path, but further optimises sound quality by simply grounding the shield at one end, reducing the system's ground plane modulation.

COLD-WELDED GOLD PLATED CONNECTORS: this plug design allows a solder-free connection, which is a common source of distortion. Conductor material is chosen on the basis of quality rather than workability
