The Irish Setter is a distant ancestor of the Spanish Pointer and is actually a mix of English Setter, Gordon Setter and Irish Water Spaniel. FEATURES

COPPER SOLID CONDUCTORS WITH 0.5 % SILVER: Solid conductors eliminate wire-interference distortion and reduce jitter. Silver-plated solid conductors are excellent for very high frequency applications. These signals, being a high frequency, travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. Since the surface is made of high-purity silver, the performance is very close to that of a solid silver cable, but at prices much closer to solid copper cable. This is an extremely cost-effective way of producing very high-quality subwoofer cables.

EXPANDED POLYETHYLENE INSULATION: All solid product adjacent to a conductor is really part of an imperfect circuit. Insulation and cable circuit materials absorb energy loss. Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Irish Red uses air-filled polyethylene foam insulation on both conductors. Thanks to the full air in PE foam, the out-of-focus effect common to other materials is excluded.

METAL-LAYER NOISE-DISSIPATION SYSTEM (NDS): 100% shielded coverage is easy. Preventing RF interference from equipment ground reference modulation requires the Noise Dissipation AQ system. This system prevents a significant amount of RFI from reaching the equipment ground plane.

COAXIAL SYMMETRIC GEOMETRY: Identical + and - conductors prevent the shield used as a lower audio conductor.

COLD-WELDED AND GOLD-PLATED PLATED PLUGS: This plug design allows for a solder-free connection, which is a common source of distortion. Since the ground covers are stamped rather than machined, metal can be chosen for low distortion.
