Ideal for media streaming, Blu-ray players, cable boxes and more, NRG-Z2 (2-pin) cables use directionally controlled Perfect-Surface Copper + (PSC +) conductors in a semi-solid concentric arrangement in which the individual copper strands are packed more tightly and never change position within the bundle. This construction significantly reduces the interaction distortion between the strands. The surprisingly smooth and pure Perfect-Surface conductors minimise distortion caused by grain boundaries and surface discontinuities that exist in every metallic conductor. In addition, NRG-Z2's directionally controlled silver-plated shielding conductors effectively drain RF noise to ground.

THE CHALLENGE: No matter how perfect an AC power source is, distortion is added within any AC cable. Even the most sophisticated filters and power supplies cannot eliminate this transient intermodulation distortion (TIM) because the induced RF noise modulates the low-level audio/video signal.

THE SOLUTION: NRG-Z2 cables use directionally controlled Perfect-Surface Copper + (PSC +) wires in a semi-solid concentric conductor arrangement in which the strands are packed more tightly and never change position within the bundle. This construction significantly reduces the interaction distortion between the strands. The extremely pure and smooth-surfaced PSC+ conductors minimise the distortion caused by the grain boundaries that exist in each metallic conductor.

In addition, the NRG-Z2's Silver Plated shielding conductors efficiently control RF noise from the line and neutral shields to ground via the third “ground” pin. The net result is powerful, dynamic and immersive!

In a semi-solid 7-strand concentric arrangement, the conductor strands are packed more tightly and never change position within the bundle. This construction significantly reduces distortion between the strands. The extremely pure and smooth surface PSC+ conductors minimise distortion caused by grain boundaries that exist within any metallic conductor.

Silver-plated Drainage Wires

The shield conductors are Silver plated and, directionally controlled, effectively drain RF noise from the line to ground via the third 'ground' pin. The net result is powerful, dynamic and immersive.

Characteristic impedance Zero

While many AC power cables feature low DC resistance to meet high current demands, the characteristic impedance of a cable is also crucial for optimal performance. Unlike most AC cables that compress an audio-induced transient, AudioQuest AC cables combine low DC resistance and zero characteristic impedance to provide uncompressed transients on demand.
