Low-distortion 3-pin power cable

- Machined Copper Perfect-Surface (PSC) conductors with silver-plated drain wires.

- ZERO (None) characteristic impedance (uncompressed current transfer)

THE CHALLENGE: No matter how perfect an AC power source is, distortion is added to any AC cable. Even the most sophisticated filters and power supplies cannot eliminate this transient intermodulation distortion (TIM) because induced RF noise modulates the low-level audio/video signal.

THE SOLUTION: NRG-Z3 cables use directionally controlled Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) strands in a semi-solid concentric conductor arrangement in which the strands are packed more tightly and never change position within the bundle. This construction significantly reduces the interaction distortion between the strands. The extremely pure and smooth-surfaced PSC conductors minimise the distortion caused by the grain boundaries that exist in each metallic conductor.

NRG-Z3's Ground Noise-Dissipation system and Silver-Plated shielding conductors with controlled direction effectively drain RF noise from the line and neutral shields to ground via the third 'ground' pin. In addition. NRG-Z3's common-mode phase cancellation array provides an additional differential linear filter. The net result is powerful, dynamic and immersive!

ZERO CHARACTERISTIC IMPEDANCE

While many AC power cables have low DC resistance to meet high current demands, the characteristic impedance of a cable is also crucial for optimal performance. Unlike most AC cables that constrict or compress an audio-induced transient, AudioQuest AC cables combine low DC resistance and zero (none) characteristic impedance to provide uncompressed transients on demand.

SEMI-SOLID COPPER CONDUCTORS WITH MORE THAN PERFECT SURFACE (PSC+)

In a semi-solid concentric arrangement, the conductor strands are packed more tightly and never change position within the bundle. This construction significantly reduces distortion between the strands. PSC conductors of high purity and smooth surface minimise distortion caused by grain boundaries that exist within any metallic conductor.

SILVER-PLATED DRAINAGE CONDUCTORS

Silver-Plated, directionally controlled shielded conductors effectively drain RF noise from the line and neutral shields to ground via the third 'ground' pin. The net result is powerful, dynamic and immersive.
