FEATURES

LONG-GRAIN SOLID COPPER CONDUCTORS (LGC): solid conductors eliminate wire interaction distortion. Evergreen's long grain solid copper enables a smoother and clearer sound than cables using normal OFHC (high conductivity oxygen-free) copper. OFHC is a general metal industry specification for 'leakage' without any concern for distortion. LGC has fewer oxides in the conducting material, fewer impurities, less grain boundaries and much better performance.

POLYETHYLENE FOAM INSULATION: Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is effectively part of an imperfect circuit. The insulation of the wire and the circuit materials all absorb energy (loss). Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Evergreen uses air-filled polyethylene foam insulation on both conductors because air absorbs almost no energy and polyethylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile. Because of all the air in Foamed-PE, it causes much less of the blurring effect common to other materials.

METALLIC NOISE DISSIPATION SYSTEM (NDS): 100% shield coverage is easy. Preventing captured RF interference by modulating the equipment ground reference requires the QA noise dissipation system. The noise dissipation system prevents a significant amount of RFI from reaching the equipment ground plane.

ASYMMETRIC DOUBLE-BALANCED GEOMETRY: A purpose designed for single-ended applications, asymmetrical double-balanced geometry offers a relatively lower impedance on the ground for a richer, more dynamic experience. While many single-ended cable designs use a single path for both ground and shielding, double-balanced designs separate the two for cleaner, quieter performance.

COLD-WELDED GOLD PLATED CONNECTORS: this socket design allows a solder-free connection, which is a common source of distortion. Since the ground shells are moulded rather than machined, the metal can be chosen for low distortion rather than machinability.
