A low conductor-to-conductor capacitance combined with a very high shielding together with high mechanical flexibility and a long lifetime make The Bay a premium cable in its class.
The high quality conductor material used in this cable is long grain OFC Copper with a dense silver coating.
BAY C5 HYBRID has also been fully equipped with Linear Structured Carbon (LSC) saturated layers, which are standard in our more expensive cable products. These layers greatly improve transparency and imaging; electrically bonding any metallic cystic defects results in stable conductivity at lower signal levels.
- Multi-Strand Central Conductor 40x0.12mm long-crystal OFC Copper with a dense Silver coating and is insulated with Polyethylene Foam
- The coaxial construction is realised with a central conductor consisting of 40 x 0.12 mm. wires with an effective cross-section of 0.452 mm² (AWG 20.6) and a resistance of 3.8 Ohm / 100 metres.
- The core conductor is coated with a layer of LSC and insulated with polyethylene foam.
- The capacitance of the cable is 110 pF / m.
- The double screen consists of 16 x 6 x 0.12 mm. braided braid with a saturated layer of Linear
- Structured Carbon underneath to further close the cable against HF signals and significantly improve signal quality.
- The total screen resistance is 1.6 Ohm / 100 metres.
- The 5.2 mm diameter outer jacket is made of HULLIFLEX® 4 in red, a material with superior properties compared to e.g. PVC; HULLIFLEX gives BAY C5 HYBRID a very long service life without ageing effects
