QED's all-new XT40i loudspeaker cable builds on the formidable reputation of the XT40 cable it replaces and offers a decisive step forward in sound quality.
This pure oxygen-free copper cable uses an evolution of QED's well-established X-Tube technology to deliver superb timing and stereo imaging, and adds the all-new, highly innovative Air Gap dielectric to bring unprecedented rhythmic precision and musicality to a cable of this modest price. The very low DC resistance adds unrivalled frequency response to the XT40i's already powerful audio capability.
FEATURES
Air Gap Dielectric
By increasing the separation of conductors within the cable, and thus the amount of air between them, QED has created a low-loss Air Gap dielectric. This technology halves the cable's dissipation and capacitance characteristics and results in numerous audible improvements, particularly in timing and rhythmic accuracy. Despite this increased separation, however, the XT40i retains the kind of cross-sectional area that makes it ideal for long cables.
X-Tube Technology
Distributing the cable conductors in a tube shape around a hollow insulating rod in the centre of the cable equalises current densities, provides a very low inductance and presents a constant, uniform load to an amplifier. The result is a cable that preserves the finest musical details, handles rhythms and tempos in the most natural and musically satisfying way, and outperforms rival designs that cost much more.
