Realising the impossible...

When dealing with a new guitar cable, this involves creating extremely low capacitance along with breathtaking flexibility. Developing insulation that guarantees super-low values by means of gas injection foaming: this is not an easy job, but well within the limits of possibility for a professional cable manufacturer. However, protecting this fragile insulation from movement, bending or twisting is a real challenge.

With SC-SPIRIT LLX 'LOW LOSS' we have reverted to the same insulation design used in professional HD-SD video cables. For greater stability of the internal construction, we use an optimised concentric cord and a special hardening insulation on the surface. For the outer sheath, we applied a soft PVC sheath similar to rubber, which is highly flexible, extremely compact, stretches greatly and protects the entire internal structure from external influences.

Thanks to its low capacitance and very special construction, the SC-SPIRIT LLX 'LOW LOSS' is one of the world's lowest-loss guitar cables.

In the case of do-it-yourself assembly, please note that the black carbon screen (located on the white insulation) is conductive and must therefore be removed to avoid earth contact with the inner conductor.
