Pair of Cables for Boxed Speakers New, factory terminated with 8 interchangeable SUPRA COMBICON Bananas

The Ply 3.4 S cable, the latest addition to the Supra family, is a rather unusual speaker cable where the designer has tried to optimise many of the parameters that are considered fundamental for good audio reproduction.
Already the standard Ply 3.4 offered some interesting features: the geometry was designed to minimise inductance, which helps to improve transient response.
The conductors are individually tinned OFC copper (with pure tin) in such a way as to minimise the skin effect by acting as a semi-Litz-type cable.
Furthermore, this tinning process (not silver plating!) helps to limit conductor jumps, thus transforming the multi-strand cable into a kind of solidcore (single conductor).
Supra claims that the advantage of pure tin over silver lies in the fact that copper and tin ‘mix’ together rather than creating a kind of diodic ‘barrier’ like that between copper and silver. Furthermore, pure tin protects OFC copper from oxidation.
Finally, the rectangular cross-section allows easier interfacing with most speaker (or banana) connectors.
The technical specifications of the Ply 3.4 (3.4 is the mm2 cross-section) claim a resistance of 7 Ohms per km (kilometre!) and an inductance of 0.2 µH per metre.

"Supra Ply 3.4 S is the ultimate expression, so far, in terms of loudspeaker cables, of Swedish Supra. And you can hear it. It sounds very balanced and neutral, with a bass range remarkable for linearity, cohesion and extension. Another strong point is the image, a bit mordid but very wide. It does not cost a huge amount (on the contrary!), it is not as big as an Innocenti tube, it is very flexible and has a discrete colour (not intrusive, that is), furthermore it fits well in many systems, without manias of protagonism but with an exemplary correctness and neutrality. Despite its price class it is able to fight on equal terms with much more expensive and...esoteric cables.
