The design of the tube conductor means that 120 individually tinned wires in a braid form a tube around a PP plastic core. It forces the music signal to meet the same crossover area regardless of frequency. The higher the frequency, the further into the conductor's perimeter the law of physics forces the signal, thus resulting in unequal conductivity properties for different frequencies. When addressed in the cable design with tube-formed conductors, we handle the differences efficiently by allowing flat frequency response, ultra-fast transients and transparency. When configured in a Star Quad conductor formation (single wire/full range), RFI pick-up and output fields (lowered inductance) are almost completely cancelled out due to the current symmetry in the opposite conductor pairs. Finally, the tin plating of the wire counteracts any jumping current between the wires, thus creating a diode effect followed by corresponding phase shifting.

In addition to the malign inductance that affects any power transmission with high current transients, we have also acquired low capacitance. Capacitance is considered less malignant in loudspeaker circuits, but it should also be kept as low as possible as it also contributes to treble roll-off and phase shifting. The special polypropylene (PP) insulation and conductor core is chemically and physically extremely stable and has low capacitance.
