FEATURES

The e-TP80ES NCF is a sophisticated, luxury power distributor that eliminates many common problems encountered with audio and video components caused by a heavily contaminated power supply. The AC waveform is severely distorted by ground noise, voltage peaks and troughs, high-frequency power supply noise from other components in your system, as well as high-frequency digital noise radiated by processors and digital interconnects.

There are also distortion products at the top and bottom of the AC waveform created by switching power supplies in electronic devices on the same circuit. Furthermore, you are never alone; residential AC mains power is shared with other flats, houses and businesses on the same mains transformer. This is why many audio and video enthusiasts notice that their systems are more fun late at night or on weekends!

The beautifully crafted special grade aluminium frame effectively protects against another common problem, RFI (radio frequency interference), and a layer of GC-303 formula blocks EMI (electromagnetic interference).
The internal wiring is FURUTECH μ-14 (14 AWG) wire, which guarantees low resistance. Furutech Hyper Quality Audio Grade sockets are wired to the IEC AC input. The schuko sockets are equipped with non-magnetic gold-plated phosphor bronze conductors for stable, durable and optimised power transfer.

Furutech's two-stage cryogenic alpha and demagnetisation process
Using state-of-the-art technology and materials, Furutech has developed a two-stage, low-temperature process that significantly improves every aspect of audio and video performance. The treatment begins during the production process with a deep cryogenic freezing of all metal parts. Using high-end refrigerants - liquid N2 or He - Furutech achieves temperatures between -196 and -250 ℃. Treated parts actually change their molecular structure at these temperature extremes, relieving internal stress. The molecules bind together more tightly and the overall structure becomes more stable. This improves electrical conductivity and thus power and signal transfer.
Step two of the Alpha process exposes these same parts to the patented ring demagnetisation treatment. Normal high-power magnets used for this purpose often increase the magnetic effects; they leave some areas more magnetised than others. This patented process uses controlled attenuation to completely eliminate magnetisation for instantly more vivid and colourful enhancements. Ring demagnetisation further improves the conductivity of all treated materials.
ALL metal parts used in Furutech products undergo the Alpha Process treatment to keep all connectors, conductors and metal parts in a perfect, stable and highly conductive state.

Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF)
Integrated in a selection of Furutech products, NCF is based on a special crystalline material with two active properties. Firstly, NCF generates negative ions that eliminate static electricity. Secondly, it converts thermal energy into infrared. Furutech combines this material with ceramic nanoparticles and carbon powder for their piezoelectric damping properties. Furutech thus obtains the optimal electrical and mechanical damping material.

GC-303 Formula
GC-303 is a special Furutech material bonded to the inner bottom plate of the chassis that absorbs any EMI (electromagnetic interference) noise that may be transmitted through the power source or generated by the unit's internal fittings.
The end result
The 2-stage cryogenic and demagnetising alpha process works in tandem with other design features to create the most optimised AC power transfer possible. Combined EMI filter and surge protection
Voltage fluctuations, thunderstorms and current spikes can damage sensitive electronics. Furutech's e-TP80ES is equipped with a surge protector for that important level of defence to protect your system.
During a voltage spike event, the e-TP80ES NCF's new MOV circuit will automatically cut power to the main circuit board's EMI filter line to prevent short circuits and protect your system. In addition, the audio-quality MOV circuit will dampen any electrical and mechanical resonance caused by electrical resistance, heat and power flow. For convenience, the LEDs indicate the normal operation of the EMI filter surge protection function. When the LEDs are ‘on’ you are noise-free and protected against surges.
