Copper UP-OCC and OCC-SPC Acoustic Loudspeaker Cable. 6 conductors for a total of 2 poles of 2.5mmq.

Sold in one piece of the purchased quantity in multiples of 0.5m or 1m.

The Neotech NES-3005 MKII consists of 6 conductors, 3 red and 3 black, each conductor has an outer diameter of 2.15 mm and an inner diameter of 1.15 mm consisting of UP-OCC copper mixed with silver-plated copper. Each conductor consists of the following combination; 2 x 0.5 mm copper wire, 6 x 0.23 mm and 32 x 0.08 mm copper wire.

What is UP-OCC?
The UP OCC process for refining copper was developed and patented by Professor Ohno of the Chiba Institute of Technology in Japan. This manufacturing process is incredibly popular for the production of wires and cables for the audio/video industry.
UP OCC stands for Ultra-Pure, Ohno Continuous Casting. In conventional processing, hot molten copper is poured into a cooled die for extrusion, resulting in a multiple, fractional crystal structure. Oxygen-free copper (OFC) has undesirable effects that lead many to use more expensive materials such as silver. The OCC process uses a heated mould for casting and extrusion, with cooling in a separate process. The result is a larger crystal size and higher purity, around 6N, 99.9998%! Looked at another way, traditional copper has oxygen impurities of 200 to 500 parts per million (PPM), whereas in traditional OFC copper this is reduced to less than 10 ppm. With the OCC process, this figure is halved to less than 5 PPM of oxygen and less than 0.25 PPM of hydrogen (compared to 0.5 PPM for OFC). With these results, the OCC process creates an ‘ultra-pure’ copper
