MM cartridge for turntables with Nude Fine Line stylus. Silver-plated copper coil.

Limited edition of 1000 units

In the event that the compliance value is stated at 100 Hz (usually referring to Japanese cartridges), it simply has to be doubled to find its correspondence at 10 Hz. On the other hand, if the compliance is declared in static regime (usually on cartridges made in the USA), it must be halved to find its value at 10 Hz.

To check whether the resonance frequency is between 8-12 Hz (preferably 9-11 Hz), the optimum value, proceed via the links below.

THE ICONIC ORTOFON CARTRIDGE, A STORY THAT BEGAN IN 1979.

In 1979, the Concorde looked radically different from any cartridge Ortofon or its rivals had produced up to then. The initial inspirations for its development were the search for an integrated cartridge design and a shell that could be easily mounted on the tonearm without the need for screws or the insertion of wires.
The award-winning industrial designer Jan Trägårdh created Concorde's unique look and received the Danish Industrial Design Award in 1979.
Concorde has undergone continuous modelling since it evolved from its original purpose as a domestic hi-fi to its current status as a revered club DJ cartridge.
The arrival of Concorde and its subsequent popularity was the result of Ortofon's strong focus on product development in the Copenhagen workshops.
The devotion of club DJs to twelve-inch singles and turntablism proved to be the pillars that sustained Ortofon's survival in the darkest days of vinyl's decline. The combination of the Concorde mounted on the arm of the Technics SL-1200 - the turntable of choice for DJs - is certainly fantastic.
But that alone would not have been enough to make it the most popular in night clubs. What mattered was that the Concorde is extraordinarily robust and, above all, its ability to stay in the groove.
On 25 January 2018, Ortofon released the new Concorde MkII generation: 5 models designed from the ground up with multiple improvements to meet the needs of any professional vinyl DJ.

THE CONCORDE CENTURY

In 2018, Ortofon reached the 100-year mark as a leading audio and microengineering company.
Having celebrated many of its previous anniversaries by launching innovative products, naturally, its centenary called for a grandiose cartridge relaunch design that is emblematic
of Ortofon's pioneering approach to design, the Concorde. Ortofon is now releasing in a limited edition of 1,000 pieces a Concorde Hi-Fi version, The Concorde Century.
The Concorde Century can be compared in performance to the 2M Bronze and is fully chromed. Very flashy!
The Concorde Century uses silver-plated copper wire and a Fine Line diamond-coated bare stylus, whose thin profile will faithfully follow even the highest frequency. In addition, its larger footprint ensures less distortion and wear.
The Concorde Century has a full, relaxed and homogenous sound, depth and detail: an excellent choice for any kind of music.
