When opinions differ...

... then silver-plated audio cables are a popular topic of discussion. From a purely technical point of view, this precious metal has the best electrical conductivity of all metals. As far as the sonic impression is concerned, opinions on the sense and absurdity of such cables often differ widely. Here we try to throw some light into the darkness. These differing opinions are because silver, due to natural oxidation, is 'alive'. Unlike copper oxide, silver oxide is conductive, i.e. its electrical and mechanical properties can change slightly over a longer period of time. This also causes the tone colour to change, which is why we can observe different audiophile impressions and some musicians or hi-fi enthusiasts perceive the sound of a silver cable as rather neutral, cold or prone to treble. Naturally, we want to avoid such irritations and discussions and therefore only use 6N class copper wire (OFC 99. 9999%) concentrically for the SC-SILVER SPIRIT, which is then finished and polished with the latest generation of silver alloy (935 /1000) in order to provide long-lasting performance and can also be processed with silver solder in an orderly manner and without electrical losses. The SC-SILVER SPIRIT is equipped with the most advanced gas injection wire insulation.
