Supra LoRad MD04-EU

Supra's mains distribution block consists of EU sockets conforming to European standards, with the exception of the UK, Ireland, Belgium and Italy. The input connector is a 10-amp male panel connector according to the international IEC-320 standard, i.e. the same as for most electrical multimedia devices with a detachable power cord that includes the earth cable. It provides a 10-amp fuse and a non-intrusive filter (NIF).

Supra NIF transient filter

All models are equipped with Supra NIF (non-intrusive filter), an efficient high-frequency transient (RFI) filter. It is designed and configured to efficiently suppress RFI interference, but not to dampen fast charging requests from the power supplies of connected devices. Supra NIF is developed by Ben Duncan Research in England.

All filters and protectors require a wall outlet with a ground terminal to function. If your multimedia and hi-fi equipment is of a certain standard, it will probably also require a ground connection and use an IEC-320 socket for detachable power cables. If your equipment is such and you do not have a ground terminal in the wall sockets, we recommend that you contact your landlord and/or an electrician to arrange for a ground connection. In this way, you will undoubtedly increase both the sound quality and safety of your equipment.

Supra LoRad shielded network blocks in aluminium housing

Supra's grid blocks are shielded and radiate low levels of generated electric fields due to their aluminium chassis connected to earth potential. The conductive chassis discharges internal interference to earth and also prevents adjacent RFI and other harmful fields from entering the distribution block. To function properly, it must be connected to a grounded wall socket with a grounded mains cable. The mains cable connecting the MD04 EU to the wall socket and the mains cables to each device must also be shielded for maximum interference attenuation/immunity. We recommend our Supra LoRad to go with the multisocket. If you are new to shielding and filtering mains power, you will definitely notice the difference.
