The rubber mat protects your vinyl, absorbs vibrations induced on the record from outside, and contributes to platter damping. If you do not like to place the record on a hard surface, use this accessory on your acrylic platter.
The mat design allows it to support any type of record including 7‘, 10’ and LP 12’ vinyl.
It is made strictly according to the design.
Aesthetically it is similar to the Technics Pro series mat.
This mat not only works well but also looks good..
How to foresee potential improvements:
It is recommended for use with most metal or glass cymbals. There will be less improvement for use with acrylic or heavy composite cymbals, unless you are looking for additional vibration absorption. Tap the cymbal: if you feel any resonance then this product may help; if it sounds full, you may not get a dramatic improvement.
