Set of 6 anti-vibration spikes each with 3 integrated sub-spikes for stand and floor-standing loudspeakers. 3 components are placed under each speaker
Made in Italy
DESCRIPTION
Audio Mass's Model E is a harmonic balancer, particularly suitable for stand-mounted and floor-standing loudspeakers. It is placed under the base of the electronics (not under the original feet) on the chassis (see figure), so that it forms a triangle with the flat surface facing upwards. The vibrations of the components are absorbed through the high pressure point reached where the weight of the electronics is concentrated on a peak point. the bass acoustics sound clearer, cleaner and more distinct by developing freely in the room without transmitting vibrations to furniture and buildings. The product can also be used for other types of electronics.
MATERIAL
Polyoxymethylene: POM is a crystalline polymer consisting of chains in which a methylene group and an oxygen atom are repeated (this block is called oxymethylene), providing a plastic material of high strength and relatively low cost. Also known by the trade names Zellamid 900, Delrin, Tecaform, Kepital, Kematal , Ertacetal and Berlin. The uses of acetal resins (finished product name formed from polyoxymethylenes) are particularly well suited to take the place of precision metal parts (watch gears), levers, bearings, screws, pipe fittings, hinges, diving equipment, bicycle parts, hot and cold water valve parts. These resins when unreinforced, and particularly in the case of homopolymers, become very rigid plastics; they also possess good mechanical strength and hardness, as well as dimensional stability as they absorb little moisture.
Polytetrafluoroethylene: PTFE is the polymer belonging to the perfluorocarbon (PFC) class resulting from the homopolymerisation of tetrafluoroethene. It is normally best known by its commercial names Teflon, Fluon, Algoflon, Hostaflon, Inoflon, in which other stabilising and fluidifying components are added to the polymer to improve its application possibilities, or silica, carbon, bronze, stainless steel, exd fillers to increase performance in mechanical, pneumatic or chemical applications. It is a plastic material that is smooth to the touch and resistant to high temperatures (up to 300 °C), used in industry to coat surfaces subjected to high temperatures where 'non-stick' and good chemical inertness are required. It is also the material with the lowest known coefficient of friction, with TFE-Steel dynamic friction of 0.04, and static friction of 0.07 / 0.14
Polyvinyl chloride: Polyvinyl chloride, with the corresponding abbreviation PVC, is the polymer of vinyl chloride, having the formula -(CH2CHCl)n- and a molecular weight between 60 000 and 150 000 u. It is the most important polymer in the series obtained from vinyl monomers and is one of the most widely consumed plastics in the world. Pure, it is a rigid material; it owes its versatility of application to the fact that it can also be mixed in high proportions with inorganic compounds and plasticisers, such as phthalic acid esters, which make it flexible and mouldable. It is considered stable and safe in technological applications at room temperature.
