Power conditioner with 12 schuko sockets of which 4 high-current and 8 filtered and 2 AC isolation transformers

AudioQuest is proud to present our Niagara 7000 Low-Z Power Noise-Dissipation System, a complete rethink of AC power filtration, designed by one of the industry's foremost experts, Garth Powell. As with all previous AQ products, we would not have entered this field if we did not think we had something special and meaningful to offer. In the Niagara 7000, we believe we have created a product that revolutionises the art and science of AC power, a product that will inspire audio/video enthusiasts and help create an even more immersive and exciting experience.

In designing Niagara 7000, we aimed to successfully solve the problems that prevent today's audio/video components from reaching their potential. Due to the significant increase in airborne radio and AC line signals, combined with overloaded service lines and the ever-increasing demands for high-definition audio/video components, a complete rethink of AC power technology is required to provide our A/V systems with the power they need to realise their potential.

The Niagara 7000 utilises our patented AC Ground Noise-Dissipation System, the world's first dielectrically biased AC isolation transformer, and the widest bandwidth linearised noise-dissipation circuit in the industry. Our unique passive/active transient current correction circuit features an instantaneous current reservoir with a peak current of over 90 amps, designed specifically for today's current-starved amplifiers. Most AC power products with 'high current sockets' minimise current compression; the Niagara 7000 corrects for this.

FEATURES

Transient power correction: provides an instantaneous peak reserve of over 90 amps with reduced line impedance for current-starved amplifiers, whether incorporating linear or switching power supplies.

Dielectrically biased AC isolation transformers: AQ's patented technology significantly reduces the non-linear distortions that previously plagued even the best magnetically based systems, while increasing the bandwidth and noise dissipation efficiency of the transformers.

High current - AC sockets (Schuko): 4 sockets - power amplifiers, powered subwoofers, powered speakers

Source Component - AC Sockets (8 outlets - analogue - digital - video): 2 isolated AC sockets with current capacity of 16 amps RMS (@ 220-240VAC 50 / 60Hz) (high current) and 2 source output groups of 4 sockets each, with total capacity of 3 amps per group. These sockets utilise a high spring-resistance beryllium copper base metal with heavy silver-plated contacts. This ensures much lower losses and distortion, while providing a superior means of draining radio frequency noise.

Ultra-Linear Dierential Filter / Common Mode - Non-Sacrificial Surge Suppressor: More than a third of low-level audio/video resolution can be masked or lost to induced radio frequency and AC noise. Niagara filters are optimised for real-world impedance and cover an unprecedented range of over 21 octaves. Non-sacrificial overvoltage protection and automatic overvoltage shutdown mean that components will be protected, AND the Niagara will also protect itself. Set and forget level protection.

Transient power correction: From powerful Class-D monoblock power amplifiers to Class-M mammoths, average (RMS) current consumption can be modest (2 to 7 amps). However, audio content with a wide dynamic range can create very fast transient current demands .... up to ten times that average. Our correction circuit reinforces and stabilises the power supply of any power amplifier by providing a buffer and reservoir of instantaneous current peaking at up to 80 amps (20 ms).

Background noise dissipation system: signals. This is crucial as the AC ground is directly connected to the component's circuit ground. Used in concert with Ultra-Linear filters and AudioQuest directionally oriented grain AC cables, it ensures the highest resolution and lowest distortion performance from system components.

Two discrete symmetrical AC isolation transformers: These massive transformers provide 100 per cent isolation of the 12 sockets. In addition, symmetrical induced noise (common mode) is reduced to the lowest possible level over the widest possible frequency range.

Dielectric-polarised transformer supply: By electrostatically charging the insulating materials in the isolation transformers, the efficiency and linearity (consistency) of the filter are significantly improved. This technology provides greater clarity for the connected system components while greatly reducing noise masking and distortion. This is especially critical at higher frequencies where normal isolation transformers will fail.

  • Dielectrically biased AC isolation transformers: AQ's patented technology significantly reduces the non-linear distortions that previously plagued even the best magnetically based systems, while increasing the bandwidth and noise dissipation efficiency of the transformers.
  • Transient power correction: provides an instantaneous peak reserve of over 90 amps with reduced line impedance for current-starved amplifiers, whether incorporating linear or switching power supplies.
  • Patented ground noise dissipation system: 6 sockets for directionally controlled background noise dissipation. AQ's patented technology greatly reduces ground-borne noise without compromising safety or creating low-level ground loops.
  • 21-Octave ultra-linear noise dissipation technology: ensures the widest and most consistent bandwidth noise dissipation possible, without the inconsistent results that characterise the minimalist, multi-node resonance peak found in many AC power conditioners.
  • NRG's Ultra Low-Z (low impedance) series AC power sockets and outputs: they feature a much lower resistance fit (using much more mass than conventional or audiophile-grade models), with heavy silver plating to ensure the lowest impedance radio frequencies, allowing for better noise dissipation.
