In recent years, there has been a revolution in the way people, mainly through media, have access to digital (real-time) content including photos, movies, and, of course, music. No longer dependent on physical media, our media is often data that is moved by multiple devices in multiple locations. For audio applications and protocols, the Ethernet connection offers the virtues of high speed and low delay time (latency), significant distance capability (328 feet without an active repeater), and extremely low jitter with perfect bit transfer. Who wouldn't want all these things together?

FEATURES

10% SOLID SILVERED CONDUCTORS: Solid conductors eliminate wire-interference distortion and reduce jitter. Silver-plated solid conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications, such as audio in Ethernet. These signals, having such a high frequency, travel almost exclusively on the conductor surface. Because the surface is made of high purity silver, the performance is very close to that of a solid silver cable, but at a price much closer to solid copper cable. This is an incredibly cost-effective way of manufacturing high-quality Ethernet cables.

INSULATION in high-density polyethylene SOLID: All solid product adjacent to a conductor is really part of an imperfect circuit. Insulation and circuit of the cable materials absorb energy (loss). Part of this energy is stored and then released as distortion.Solid high-density polyethylene ensures critical signal-to-torque geometry, minimising induction phase distortion.

NOISE-DISSipATION SYSTEM (NDS) - 3-layer carbon noise-dissipation system: 100% shielding coverage is easy. Preventing blocked RF interference the mass reference modulation of the material requires Noise-Dissipation System QA. Metal and Carbon-Loaded synthetics prevent more RFI from reaching material ground plane.

TERMINATION: precision low-loss and ultra-wideband connectors made with 100% screen coverage and strain relief.

HIGH DATA CAPACITY: The standard Cat 7 cable is designed to allow 10-Gigabit Ethernet over 100 m of copper cable.

DIRECTIONALITY: All audio cables are directional. The correct direction is determined by listening to each batch of metal conductors used in each AudioQuest audio cable. Arrows are clearly marked on the connectors to ensure superior sound quality. For best results have the arrow pointing in the direction of the music flow. E.g. NAS, Player network router.
