High Performance Subwoofer Cable with Double Balanced Geometry and NDS System

Available lengths selectable from drop-down menu.

Bass is the foundation of all music. The subwoofer is able to reproduce harmonics with a deep effect not only on bass, but on instruments that you would never think would need bass reinforcement, such as female vocals and violins. Next time you have the chance to listen to a solo female voice, try to hear the difference once with the subwoofer and once without. Listen to what happens. The new Boxer cable is designed to allow no signal distortion so that the bass is transmitted with clear tones and precise harmonics.

The Boxer cable uses 1.25% solid silver conductors in a double-balanced configuration. Its total shielding makes it immune to any unwanted interference. The insulation of the inner conductor, guaranteed by polyethylene air tubes, minimises any signal loss. 1.25% silver-plated copper provides superior performance in digital audio and video, enhancing the articulation and intelligibility of information at low frequencies.

FEATURES

1.25% SOLID SILVER CONDUCTORS: Solid conductors eliminate strand-to-strand interaction distortion and reduce jitter. Silver-plated conductors are excellent for very high frequency applications. These signals, being high-frequency, travel almost exclusively on the conductor surface. Since the surface is pure silver, the performance is very similar to that of a solid silver cable, but much closer to solid copper cable. This is an incredibly economical way to produce subwoofer cables of the highest quality.

POLYETHYLENE AIR TUBE INSULATION: Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. The insulation materials of the wire and circuit board all absorb energy (loss). Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. All Boxer conductors use PE air tube insulation because air absorbs energy and polyethylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile. PE air tube insulation causes much less out-of-focus effect than other materials.

3-LAYER NOISE DISSIPATION SYSTEM WITH CARBON (NDS): 100% shield coverage is easy. Preventing RF interference captured by the equipment's ground reference modulation requires the QA noise dissipation system. Metal and carbon-based synthetics prevent most RFI from reaching the equipment ground plane.

DOUBLE BALANCE GEOMETRY: The electrically separated shield better preserves the integrity of the negative conductor.

COLD-WELDED SILVER WELDED DIRECTLY OVER PURE RED COPPER: This design allows for a perfect heat-free connection between cable and connector. The connection between the connector and conductors is made using AQ's Cold-Welded system, which provides a superior connection that ensures the structural integrity of the conductor is kept completely intact. The Cold-Welded system refers to a combination of high pressure at the contact point and the use of copper or silver impregnated paste.

GROUNDING: Sometimes there is a hum problem unless the subwoofer and AV receiver (or surround sound processor) are connected to each other using a separate cable. If your system has a problem with hum, try attaching the small spade tails to the metal chassis of the subwoofer amplifier and the chassis of the sending component.
