SUPRA Classic 6 is an extremely flexible 6 sq. mm two-core cable containing tinned copper OFC multi-strands with a purity grade of 5N, i.e. greater than 99.999%. The insulating jacket is composed of a special, ionically stable PVC, which minimises corrosion of the tinned surface and guarantees excellent acoustic performance. By reducing the so-called skin effect and decreasing current jumps between the wire surfaces, tin contributes to better sound quality. This series covers all Hi-Fi applications from low-power systems (such as rear speakers in home-theatre systems) to high-power systems with long cable lengths.

The conductors are individually tinned OFC copper (with pure tin) in such a way as to minimise the skin effect by acting as a semi-Litz-type cable. In addition, this tinning (not silvering!) process helps to limit conductor jumps, thus transforming the multi-wire cable into a kind of solidcore.
Supra claims that the advantage of pure tin over silver lies in the fact that copper and tin 'mix' together rather than creating a kind of diodic 'barrier' like that between copper and silver. In addition, pure tin protects OFC copper from oxidation.

The technical specifications of the CLASSIC 6 (6 are the mm2 cross-sectional area) state a resistance of 2.9 Ohms per km (kilometre!) and an inductance of 0.59 µH per metre.
