FEATURES

HARD CELL FOAM (HCF) INSULATION: Hard cell foam (HCF) insulation ensures the critical geometry of signal pairs. Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. Cable insulation and circuit board materials all absorb energy. Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Rigid cell foam insulation is similar to the PE foam used in our cheaper Bridges & Falls cables and is injected with nitrogen to create air pockets. Since nitrogen (like air) does not absorb energy and therefore does not release any energy from or into the conductor, distortion is reduced. In addition, the stiffness of the material allows the cable conductors to maintain a stable relationship along the entire length of the cable, producing a stable impedance character and further reducing distortion.

LONG-GRAIN COPPER SOLID CONDUCTORS (LGC): Long-grain solid copper (LGC) enables a smoother and clearer sound than cables using normal OFHC (Oxygen-Free High-Conductivity) copper. Solid conductors prevent strand interaction, a major source of distortion. Surface quality is crucial because a conductor can be considered as a guide for both electric fields inside a conductor and magnetic fields outside the conductor. LGC has fewer oxides within the conductor material, fewer impurities, fewer grain boundaries and much better performance.
