The album features appearances by David Hidalgo, Les Claypool, Brain and Keith Richards and won a GRAMMY for Best Alternative Music Album.Bone Machine is a rather acutely otherworldly album... another push to the fringes - his most poetically and sonically daring work to date. Writing again with his wife and long-time collaborator, Kathleen Brennan, Waits acknowledges writing "darker" material, saying, "A lot of the songs live there, so that's where I've been digging lately."
