LONG-GRAIN COPPER CONDUCTORS (LGC): solid conductors eliminate interaction distortion between the strands. Red River's long grain solid copper enables a smoother and clearer sound than cables using normal OFHC (high conductivity oxygen-free) copper. OFHC is a general metal industry specification regarding 'leakage' without any concern for distortion. LGC has fewer oxides within the conducting material, fewer impurities, fewer grain boundaries and much better performance.

NITROGEN INJECTED HARD CELL FOAM INSULATION: Nitrogen injected hard cell foam insulation is used exclusively in most AudioQuest audio and video cables. Similar to Foamed-PE, it is injected with nitrogen to create air pockets. Hard' foam is used because the stiffness of the material allows the cable conductors to maintain the same relationship to each other along the entire length of the cable, thus ensuring that the cable's characteristic impedance is consistent.

METAL-STRATE NOISE DISSIPATION SYSTEM (NDS): 100% shield coverage is easy. Preventing RF interference captured by the modulation of the equipment ground reference requires the QA noise dissipation system. The noise dissipation system prevents a significant amount of RFI from reaching the equipment ground plane.

TRIPLE-BALANCED GEOMETRY: the three conductors in the Red River 'Triple-Balanced' cables ensure that, when prepared with RCA or XLR connectors, the positive and negative signals have low-distortion conduction paths. The 100% coverage shield is never used as a lower conductor.

COLD-GOLD WELDED CONNECTORS: this plug design allows for a solder-free connection, which is a common source of distortion. Since the ground shells are moulded rather than machined, the metal can be chosen for low distortion rather than machinability.
