"In 1976, Frank Zappa and his band performed at New York's Palladium in the week between Christmas and New Year's Eve in four concerts that went down in history. Those performances formed the basis of the double live album 'Zappa In New York', to which overdubs made later in the studio were added. The double album was released in 1978 and remains one of Zappa's best-loved records to this day. (The album also contained a sensational live version of 'Sofa' as well as nine new compositions from that time, including the infamous 'The Black Page', the outrageous 'Titties & Beer' and the famous 'Punky's Whips', dedicated to Punky Meadows (guitarist of Angel). In celebration of its 40th anniversary, "Zappa in New York" will be reissued on 29 March 2019 (Universal Music Group), remastered and offered in multiple formats, overseen by the Zappa Family Trust and produced by Ahmet Zappa and "Vaultmeister" Joe Travers."
